26 Dec 2020 at 7:35pm I recently celebrated 42 years as an unwavering vegan (beyond diet), and I've learned a thing or two about foods with scientifically-verified health benefits. Food can be our medicine and keep us healthy. I include these foods in my diet and try to avoid doctors. (Being a strict vegan, I avoid pharmaceuticals because they're tested on animals; only

These brands sell ONLY vegan products. They are worth supporting just for that reason. However, they also make superior and trustworthy products.

It's 2020. In all my 62 years on Earth, I've never seen anything like the global pandemic Covid-19. On top of that and truly breathtaking, I've never seen so many people, all around the world, unite in protest (during this pandemic when we should be social distancing) for "Black Lives Matter" demonstrations. The last straw was the murder of George Floyd

100 Best Vegan Products
I've been vegan for 4 decades and have lived in both hemispheres, thus I have sampled a lot of vegan products! Here are some recommendations along with my reasons. I suggest eating whole foods, but also enjoy some vegan snacks. None of the vegan goodies were available when I went vegan, so it's exciting for me. I regard

All over the world, people of many nationalities and ethnicity, are breaking free of our societal outdated indoctrination that other species of animals are lesser than humans; not deserving of basic rights, or should be dominated by humans. People are rising up and seeing that animals are here with us; not for us to use and exploit. This post is Vegan

The following compilation consists of paintings and illustrations that speak up for animal rights or liberation, for veganism, or simply display the beauty living within other species of animals. Some are dark and less pleasing to the eye, others are intricate works of artistry; but all convey a poignant message. ARTivism is a form of activism. Enjoy

Enjoy this collection of my favorite signs found at animal rights marches and public protests around the world. Some of the signs were from vegans being present at women's marches, gay pride parades, or other social justice rallies. Most of them came from animal rights or liberation marches. Thank-you to the activists who made and held the signs! Please

Enjoy these uplifting photos of
children embracing other species. These photos were selected because
of their uplifting beauty. Part of their beauty is that they were not taken at
a zoo, or where animals are a commodity for human profit or entertainment. Many of the
animals digitally captured in this collection - are rescues in sanctuaries, as
opposed

All species of animals nurture their young, befriend others, feel and communicate love, have the capacity to suffer pain and anguish, and desire to live their life free from harm. Let's respect the birth-rights of all animals by being vegan. Here is a photo collection depicting that all conscious beings embrace others with emotion. Humans don't need

There are too many photos that depict the disrespectful way humans treat other species in the animal kingdom, however this photo compilation does not depict "The way it is" but rather "The way it should be". These photos are taken from vegan-run animal sanctuaries, or wildlife animal sanctuaries, or from personal friendships between humans and animals.

Now
that I'm in my 60's, there's very little that is the same about me as
when I became vegan 40 years ago. My beliefs and philosophies
have changed. The one tenet that has remained unwavering is my firm
belief in the vegan way of life. The ethical position known as
'veganism' is tangible and not up for debate (in my view). I treat
anyone sentient;

Vegan organizations and educational activists are, more and more, spending their funds to publicly advertise on billboards, buses, in airports, malls, and on the streets. Non-vegan businesses have spent gazillions to push their products of torture and killing on the public. Campaigns like "Go Vegan World" in Ireland and the "Be Fair Be Vegan" campaign

Final Blog Post
October 6th, 2017 marks my 60th birthday, and much more important, it's my 39th Veganniversary ... and the retirement of my blog. The blog will remain online as it includes a lot of useful information and some may find it through web searches. It's the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter of my life; one that excludes most

My
vegan hero is Leslie Cross; an early pioneer of the vegan movement
and the man who is responsible for bringing about a literal definition of
veganism that equated it with animal rights. Although the first Vegan
Society was formed by Donald Watson and 5 members in 1944, it was not
until 1949 that Leslie J. Cross pointed out that the society lacked
