Description Hello and welcome to The Vegan Corner- a cookery YouTube channel devoted to delicious food with no compromise. The kind of cuisine we offer is the one we like to consider to be the healthiest, which is based on a very low use of fats as recommended in many famous books such as "The China study" or "The starch solution". We are convinced that the less you mess with ingredients, the healthier the final dish will be. But this doesn't mean that we don't like to treat ourselves with more elaborate or gourmet dishes- we don't have the power of super-resistance after all! After being chefs for many years, we are proud to be the first professional cookery YouTube channel dedicated entirely to low-fat vegan cuisine. INGREDIENTS FOR 30 BISCUITS:

300g all-purpose/plain flour

60g icing sugar

55g apple sauce

160g dairy-free butter

For the decoration:

dark chocolate, melted

icing sugar

jam

STEPS

- Mix flour with icing sugar.

- Add the butter and rub it in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.

- Add the apple sauce, and incorporate it by hand to create a rough dough. Knead the dough briefly on a floured surface until smooth, wrap it in cling film and chill for 4 hours, better if overnight.

- Preheat the oven to 160°C.

- Roll the dough to a thickness of 5mm (¼ inch), cut it into shapes using different cookie cutters, place the shapes on baking tray lined with greaseproof paper and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the desired colour is achieved. Cool down completely before decorating.

- Fill the cookies with jam, sprinkle them with icing sugar, or dip them into melted chocolate to create a variety of different shapes and flavours.
