This time Jason digs deep and pulls out a gluten free, vegan, superfood rice crispy treat that’s just as amazing as your memories, but with a healthier twist. Yes, not only is it possible, but it’s delicious too. You’ll need a mixing bowl, a spatula, an 8x8 baking dish, and clean hands. J-Wro starts things off with brown rice crispies, a healthier option that comes in both vanilla and cacao, lucuma for sweetness, maca, and a pinch of mineral rich sea salt. He amps up the protein content and flavor with a little Sunwarrior vanilla protein. He uses the cake batter goodness of Warrior Blend, but feel free to use Classic Plus if you’re lucky enough to have gotten ahold of it. Mix these dry ingredients with that spatula. Now it’s time for the binders, the gooey, sweet, liquid goodies that make this a true treat. Brown rice syrup and your favorite superfood nut butter is all it takes to get things going. Go slow and be gentle. You don’t want to be crushing all those crisps now. The spatula most likely won’t be enough and you may need to get your hand in there. We recommend coating them in a small amount of coconut oil to keep them clean-ish, but there may be no avoiding the stickiness, and that’s okay. You should coat that pan with coconut oil too, before transitioning any of these delicious ingredients over. Don’t forget to lick the yum from your fingers while your crispies are cooling in the fridge, just wash them well before you serve this dessert to anyone. Cut them in into squares once they’ve set.
