On today's episode of The Edgy Veg Candice brings you another Easter themed video. This time she's going to show you how to make a Vegan version of the Giant Kinder Surprise Egg and fill it with Mini Oreo Cream Eggs.

1 1/2 packages double stuffed Oreos
1/3 cup condensed coconut milk: http://amzn.to/2oYeJjJ

In a food processor, chop up Oreos, including the frosting, until a fine crumb is reached.
open the second package of Oreos and remove the fillings from the cookies. Add fillings to the food processor and pulse to combine.
Add the condensed coconut milk and pulse to combine.
Place chocolate chips in a glass bowl and melt in the microwave at 30 second intervals until melted.
Using a pastry brush, brush chocolate into eggs moulds to coat completely and place in the freezer for 5 mins. Repeat until you have 2-3 layers of chocolate.
Press the Oreo filling into the moulds and place into the freezer for 10 mins to harden.
Place two egg halves together and gold with your thumb and index finger. Paint the seam with chocolate using the pastry brush and smooth out with your finger. This will act like a glue.
Place on a piece of wax paper lined baking sheet. Let harden and dry completely in the fridge for 20 mins minimum.
Instead of the traditional Kinder Egg toy inside approach Candice has decided to put Mini Oreos as well small Oreo cream filled chocolate eggs inside. Once you have your molds, and of course several packages of Oreos, gather all the chocolate in your house and melt it down in a big bowl.
Starting with your mini chocolate eggs mold take a pastry brush the chocolate on the inside of the molds. Repeat the process on the larger mold as well and place them all into the freezer for about five minutes. After that you will add a second layer, freeze it for five minutes, and then possibly a third layer as well. Keep adding layers until you get a hard, crunchy shell to ensure your eggs stay together. You want to make sure that you cannot see through the mold at all.
Now it's time to move onto the cream for the Oreo cream filled eggs. Add an entire box of Oreos to your food processor and pulse it repeatedly. Now take all of the filling from the second package of Oreos and scrape it into the food processor along with 1/3 of a can of coconut condensed milk. Blend those ingredients together until you reach your desired consistency, keeping in mind this will be what you are filling your chocolate eggs with. Once you have your cream created spoon it into the smaller eggs filling each half equally and then return them to the freezer. After about ten minutes pull them out and put your halves together brushing chocolate on the edges of each newly formed egg around the seam and press the halves together with your fingers. Repeat this process with all of the eggs, then place them on a sheet of wax paper and then put them back into the freezer.
Candice also picked up a package of mini Oreos to put into the larger egg along with the smaller eggs. Keep those on hand as you will be needing them shortly. From her taste test last week she had quite a few colored foil wrappers left over which she kept around. If you don't have anything like that in your kitchen just about any kind of colored foil wrapper would be fine. Wrap each of your smaller chocolate eggs in foil.
Pull your large chocolate shell out of the freezer and fill it with your foil wrapped eggs as well as your Mini Oreos. Now you will need to seal your large chocolate egg. This is going to be more difficult due to its sheer size. Candice shows you how to do it in the video and relays a story about her first attempt. Once you're done put it back in the freezer and give it time to harden. You may want to line your chocolate mold with wax paper to make a cradle for it to harden in, just make sure to avoid any possible egg rolling.
Once the Giant Kinder Egg has hardened you are all done with your extravagant Easter surprise. Nice work!
