  • Zucchini Hummus from The UnDiet Cookbook
Zucchini hummus is a classic raw food recipe–and it’s one of the very first that I learned how to make. I adore chickpea-based hummus (and have plenty of favorite recipes along those lines), so I’ve never really seen zucchini hummus as a necessary alternative. But zucchini hummus is its own entity, and it has its own merits. For [...] (...more)

This week’s menu plan is a good exercise in rolling with the punches. I’ve got exams on Tuesday and Wednesday, which means that my mind has been on studying and prepping, as well as taking care of as much work as possible before exam days so that my mind can turn exclusively to rest and review. • Weekend Reading, 10.3.15
The first half of this past week flew by, a blur of class and reading and clients and work. The second half screeched to a halt with the arrival of a fall cold and a middle ear infection, which forced me to slow down and spend most of yesterday curled up on my sofa. I was [...] (...more)

"Natural" doesn't really mean anything (basically if something exists, it's natural; I'm natural therefore I am...) but I threw that word in the title just to give you an idea of what this mouthwash is all 'bout. As the title blatantly shouts, this is my smoothie of choice right now. I made it for the first time maybe four days ago (when I was still hungry after dinner) and ever since I have been having it every morning with my oatmeal before I go to the gym. It came together randomly and ended up blowing my mind. It's nice and sweet but also super nutritious. (...more)

I still haven't showered today. Apparently it's good for the skin to let your sweat dry after you've been in the sun, because it helps with vitamin D absorption. So I hear. I am using that as my excuse for being smelly and sticky right now. I went to the gym this morning (and sweat out a storm) then immediately made this when I got home. Seriously, (...more)
